Mini Bio-Blitz at the 12,000 Year History Park
September 9, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
The 12,000 Year History Park is a new park in the city of Cayce. It is also known as the Timmerman Trail. It is a paved trail and is very accessible to the public but it also has great habitat near the Congaree River. They have expressed a desire to have a better inventory of species at the park. MMNA will go on September 9th to conduct a mini Bio-Blitz at the park. We’ll meet at 8:30am at the Cayce Tennis Center, 1120 Fort Congaree Trail. We’ll probably go out for about 2 hours, then maybe circle back to our starting point for a restroom break. If folks want to go longer, we’ll go back out for another couple of hours.
If you want to focus on one type of nature: birds, butterflies, plants, etc., just let me know.
If you want to participate, please contact Hilda Flamholtz at hwflamholtz at gmail dot com. That email is spelled out to avoid automatic spam.
